OUR STORY

Dave's Backache Rental is a different kind of rental (a little bit rustic barn kind of way). Come stay in our newly retrofitted 4-story barn, which is situated on a 30-acre property perfect for hiking or cross-country skiing, or just for hanging out around the campfire. The road that we are nestled on is a designated trail for 4-wheelers or snowmobiles, depending on the conditions. Bring your trailers, because we have plenty of parking.

The Amberg area that our rental is located on is famous for its waterfalls. We have an area map so you can visit all of the falls, totaling 8. It makes for a 1 to 2 day adventure. There are also a good number of golf courses in the area and also a few lakes for the fishermen in your group. The little town of Amberg is just around 1 mile down the road from our resort. The town has a gas station with a convenience store, restaurant and tavern, party store, post office, churches and a large hardware store. There are also nice supper clubs nearby starting with Nimrods in Athelstone (6 miles away), Maner on Main in Wausaukee (7 miles) or The Four Seasons that is a sight to see in the middle of nowhere on an island (12 miles away), but check for hours.
